Ladies all over the world have had to learn how to style their own hair, cut their fringes and even sort out their greys and roots while salons have had to remain closed during coronavirus lockdown.

However, some style-conscious women have taken it one step further, not content with just maintaining their locks but wanting to give themselves a new look for the pandemic. And the latest hair trend that has started to emerge over the last few weeks is dyeing your tresses pastel pink.

This spring colour is certainly a good choice, brightening up the day and making people feel better amid all this global uncertainty. It is also a good choice for different complexions and hair colours, while being in isolation gives ladies confidence to try something more daring as they won’t see anyone if it doesn’t go quite to plan!

Among the celebs that are leading the trend are Sarah Michelle Geller, who gained 1.2 million views on Instagram for the video of her new #quarancolor.

Jennifer Love Hewitt proved you don’t have to be blonde to get away with this look, with the brunette showcasing her bright pink locks on April 1st.

“The smile of a girl who just did at home hot pink highlights because what else can I do right now! [sic],” the actress wrote to her 833,000 followers.

One lady who is certainly a trendsetter is Dua Lipa, with the singer debuting her newly dyed hair a couple of weeks into lockdown.

In a post that has been seen by more than 1.8 million people, she wrote: “Quarantine diaries – this weeks experiment… pink hair [sic].”

If you are brave enough, now could be the ideal time to experiment with a bold colour, and your hair salon in Hampshire will be ready to perfect the look once lockdown has been lifted!
